'Artist' (H. J. Wentink, registered with KAVB, 1982). Subgenus Xiphium; Dutch Iris, Standards methyl-violet (RHS 85A), veined violet-purple, falls gray-yellow tinted on dull blue ground, signal area with raised lemon-yellow midvein, surrounded by methyl violet (RHS 85C) with violet veins along edge, style-lobe grayish yellow (RHS 160B). 'Yellow Triumph' X 'Purple Sensation'. --KAVB. [A hybrid Dutch Iris].
