Edgar Anderson on the origin of Iris versicolor and Iris x robusta
Edgar Anderson showed that The species Iris versicolor arose from crosses of Iris virginica and Iris setosa var. interior He also noted that Iris x robusta came from crosses with virginica and versicolor.
