(MDB) 'Stint'

1955, Cook

'Stint' (Paul Cook, R. 1955). Seedling #1152. DB, 4" (10 cm), Very early bloom. Standards cotinga purple; falls mulberry purple, very dark near blue beards. 'Alinda' seedling X 'Violet Gem' seedling. Longfield 1956. Honorable Mention 1956.

From Longfield Iris Farms catalog, 1956: STINT (Cook No. 1152) (Seedling of Alinda X Seedling of Violet Gem). Very dark purple with neat blue beard on blackish fall. A trim flower of nice shape and finished look. 4 inches. Blooms early and freely. $3.00.
