1902, Caparne ‘Leopold’ (William J Caparne, 1902). DB, 8" (20 cm). Early bloom. Color Code-R7M. Violet-blue self; yellow-white beards. Parentage unknown. See below:

| From Bonnewitz catalog 1920: Olbiensis, LEOPOLD. Lighter soft purple than in Bluestone and Niobe; falls are horizontal and this makes the bloom look very large; occasionally blooms in November; 6-8 in. 25 cts.; $1.50 a doz. |
