1920, Bonnewitz

‘Graminea' (Origin unknown. Listed by Leo Bonnewitz 1920). DB, height 7" (18 cm). Early bloom. Clean red-purple self; light yellow beards; narrow leaves. Parentage unknown. Honorable Mention 1940.

From Bonnewitz catalog 1920: GRAMINEA. Red-purple, not so red as in Socrates, but rich, attractive and charming, with very narrow leaves; foliage and flowers 6-8 in. 35 cts.
