1962, Brown

'Golden Cupid' (Alta Brown, R. 1961). Seedling #M-67B. MDB, height 9" (23 cm). Early bloom. Buttercup yellow self; orange beards. 'Baria' X 'Orange Glint'. Brown's Iris Gardens 1962. ASM 1963; BR 1964; Honorable Mention 1964.

From AIS Bulletin #165, April 1962. Introducing GOLDEN CUPID (Brown '62) Early, 9" (Baria x Orange Glint). This is a miniature dwarf of brightest orange-yellow. The wide flaring falls and closed standards show a hint of ruffling and the substance is good. Blooms with the late dwarfs. $5.00. Brown's Iris Garden.
