1955, Marx

'Golden Carpet' (Walter Marx, R. 1959). MDB, height 4" (10 cm), Early bloom. Deep yellow self. 'Sound Money' X I. lutescens ( chamaeiris). Marx 1955.

From Walter Marx Gardens catalog 1955: GOLDEN CARPET. Each 2.00. The deepest yellow dwarf we have yet seen and a miniature in every respect. Not exceeding 4 inches the dainty flowers are several shades deeper than Sound Money and about one half size. Midseason.
