(MDB) 'Garnet Gleam'

1968, Sindt

‘Garnet Gleam' (David Sindt, R. 1967). Seedling #G100. MDB, height 4.5" (11 cm). Very early bloom. Red-violet self; falls slightly darker; near white beards. 'Spring Joy' X unknown 'I. pumila' . Riverdale Iris Gardes 1968. ASM 1969; Honorable Mention 1969; BR 1973.

From AIS Bulletin #189 April 1968 Introducing GARNET GLEAM. MDB. 4-1/2". (Sdlg. GlOO. SPRING JOY X unknown). DIS Test Garden Certificate 1967. Fine red-violet self; falls slightly deeper. Neat pale blue-white beard. Wide petals and good form. The garden effect is quite red. Very early. $5.00. Riverdale Iris Gardens.
