(MDB) 'Burgundy Blues'

1985, Gaddie

'Burgundy Blues' (Gene Gaddie, R. 1981). Seedling #74-2. MDB, height 6.5" (17 cm). Midseason bloom. Standards velvety deep burgundy wine (RHS 83A); falls same, slight bronze glow at hafts; bright purplish blue (93B) beards. 'Beau' X 'Heart's Content'. Gaddie's Garden 1985. Honorable Mention 1987; Award of Merit 1991.

Big, fat, bright, electric blue beards on bright but velvety, deep burgundy wine petals; 6-1/2". #74-2: (Beau X white pumila with violet-blue spot). $10.00. Gaddies' Gardens.
