(MDB) 'Biflora'
1794, Unknown ‘Biflora' (Origin unknown). DB, 4.5" (11 cm), Early bloom. Red-violet bitone; blue beards. Note: According to the 1975 D.I.S. check list, this is a 36-chromosome I. pumila hybrid similar to 'Atroviolacea'. The name was approved by the A.I.S., which is that listed as "Dickson 1794," was applied to a form or variety of I. aphylla . See below:
