(MDB) 'Baby Orchid'

1972, Brown

'Baby Orchid' (Alta Brown, R. 1971). Seedling #D 893-25. MDB, height 4" (10 cm). Very early bloom. Standards mauvette (Wilson 537/3), bluish midribs; falls pale mauvette, brushed medium violet (639) each side of light mauve beards. 'Rosy Carpet' X unknown. Brown's Iris Gardens 1972. Honorable Mention 1975.

From AIS Bulletin #205 April 1972 Introducing BABY ORCHID. 4". EE. Standards are orchid with bluish midribs; falls are light orchid, brushed with violet on each side of the light orchid beard. A pumila of good form and lovely color. D893-25 (Rosy Carpet X unknown). $5.00. Brown's Iris Garden.
