1955, Grapes 'Amethyst Gem' (Vivian Grapes, R. 1955). Seedling #4052. MDB, height 4.5" (11 cm). Very early bloom. Standards medium violet; falls red-violet, bordered lighter; orange beards tipped yellow and blue. 'Violet Gem' X unknown. Franklin 1956.
