Hybridizer Marky Smith

Marky Smith was winner of the American Dykes Award in 2008 for 'Starwoman'. She was honored by the American Iris Society with the Hybridizer Award in 2005. She received the Bennett C. Jones Award for Outstanding Median Hybridizing in 2012 from the Median Iris Society. You can see the MIS summary of her contributions here on their website.

In 2021 her Tall Bearded 'Belle Fille' was awarded the Premio Firenze prize at the Florence International Iris competition and the John C. Wister Medal by the American Iris Society.
