'Spangled Organza' ( Frank Chowning, R. 1961). Seedling 1958-1. LA, 18" (46 cm), Late bloom. Color Class-Y1F, Chrome yellow self, large lancehead signal patched of gold. Sibling of 'Promised Land' X 'Pomp and Glory'. University Hills 1966.

From University Hills Nursery catalog, 1966: SPANGLED ORGANZA (Chowning 1961)- Large chrome yellow self with flaring form and a prominent, golden crest. Falls are broad and of heavy substance. Opens 3 to 4 flowers simultaneously. Late season. 1&" to 30". $3.00.
