'Paludicola' ( Edward Johnston Alexander, R. 1932, Southern Louisiana). Vinicolores Section,; Color Code-R3M; Standards similar to falls, blade reddish-violet in channel, the haft creamy white at base, suffused reddish-violet above. Falls recurved, spreading, 8-10 cm diam., the haft greenish-white veined yellowish -green, blade shades of violet veined darker around crest zone, crest deep yellow with a median ridge lined blackish-violet with 2-4 lateral lines of yellow radiating upwards from the haft, often with white terminal blotches. Style branches dark reddish-violet, wing margins pale brownish-orange. Iris × violipurpurea 'Paludicola'.
