1978, Granger

'Lafitte's Retreat' ( Marvin Granger, R. 1977). Seedling 70-11. LA, 24" (61 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards light powder blue; short greenish yellow stylearms; Falls light to medium powder blue; short greenish yellow dagger-like signal. ( 'Queen O' Queens' x 'King Of Clubs') X unknown. Granger 1978.

From AIS Bulletin #230 Summer 1978 Introducing LAFITTE'S RETREAT (Sdlg. 70-11). Medium blue self, gradually changing to a pretty powder blue self a few hours after opening. Large, overlapping petals and sepals. Constant award winner in past seedling competition. $15.00. Granger's Iris Garden.
