Sidney Conger, R. 1953). Seedling 49-55-2. Louisiana, 30" (76 cm), Midseason bloom. Color Class-RV3, Red-violet bitone. Standards light nectar (M & P 5-E-3) splashed dark (dahlia purple, M & P 55-H-12); Falls deeper than Standards and splashed darker (port, M & P 56-L-5).

From AIS Bulletin #133, April 1954. Introducing ELLA B. DAVIS (Conger) Reg '53, #49-55-2 (Roses & Wine x Peggy Mac). From the same breeding as Sara Gladney and Royal Velour comes this pink in campanulate form with overlapping segments. The 5 inch flowers of meadow pink are splashed dahlia purple. The texture is excellent; the substance exceptional. 30 inch stalk. Midseason. $7.50. Sidney Conger. |
