| From Marx Gardens catalog, 1962: TINTED CLOUD (Marx 1961 ) Each $4.00. Cool serenity and a certain elegance attract one's attention to this dusky beauty as its flowers unfold to a uniformly blended shade of Wistaria Violet (Maerz and Paul). The color is absolutely unlike any other Marhigo we have ever listed. There is just a hint of pink or orchid throughout the outer portions of the flower. Prominent golden-yellow signals are enclosed by a blue border near ultra-marine and the styles are purest deep violet. As the picture depicts, the flowers are crisply flaring with crimped edges. Blooms late on branched 5-foot stems. Picture page 11. |
