| From Marx Gardens catalog, 1962: TIDAL WAVES (Marx 1956) Each $3.00. In our field this seedling has been often referred to as a better Margaret S. Hendrickson, and well it might. Of fuller body and larger size, every flower possesses several more central petaloids approaching the true double type. The color is a beautiful shade of medium (Abbey) blue with delicate overtones of orchid as the flower ages. The ruffled 7- to 8-inch blooms are most weather resistant and produced abundantly on splendidly branched stems over a long season. Midseason to late. |
