From Marx Gardens catalog, 1962: SILVER WAVES (Marx 1961) Each $10.00. The largest double pure white Marhigo iris we list. The wide expansive flowers actually attain ll-inch diameters under ideal conditions. Of smoothest texture and rather flat form this magnificent Marhigo will appeal to those preferring the more formal type of Japanese Iris. For a dramatic garden display, plant any one of these white Marhigos with the dark purple varieties like SUMMER STORM and POMP AND CIRCUMSTANCES. SILVER WAVES is produced on stiff, slender 4-1/2 foot stems. Midseason.
