Standards white with narrow edge of raspberry red (RHS 59A); Falls white with 1" irregular rim of raspberry red, streaked white at inner edge, central area splashed with short streaks of raspberry red; golden signal. (

From AIS Bulletin #234 Summer 1979 Introducing RASPBERRY RIMMED (T275/3): Tetraploid, 36", EM and reblooms. Our first tetraploid Japanese iris introduction. 9" single blooms with 5" flaring falls of white, splashed red and with wide raspberry red rims. Superb starchy substance. Two branches plus terminal with 6-7 buds. Rebloomed for a total of 39 days in 1978. T 172/9@: (Garden Caprice x sdlg.) X T 164/12: (Ageha x Shikino Hajima). Very fertile with tetraploids. A numbered tetraploid seedling will be included with each order to provide a plant for crossing. Very limited stock. $50.00. Currier McEwen. |
