'Prairie Velvet' (Arthur H. Hazzard, R. 1972) Seedling 737. JI (single), 42" (102 cm), Early midseason bloom. Ruffled dark red-violet, edged white on petaloids, darker veining on falls, yellow signal. 'Mammoth Marvel' X unknown. Hazzard 1972. Honorable Mention 1976, Payne Award 1979.
