'Niji-No-Tomoe' ( Society for Japanese Irises, R. 1994) JI (3 F.), 39" (100 cm), Early bloom. Standards white with red violet rim; style arms white, some red violet on edge; Falls with large white center radiating into red violet on outer portion. Old Edo type; parentage unknown. Believed hybridized by Matsudaira Shoo prior to 1856 >1856.
