'Miodoroki' ( Walter Marx, R. 1950) Import. JI (double), 40" (102 cm). Midseason bloom. Plum-purple shading to violet in center. Translation: Three Surprises.

Note: 1939 AIS Check List attributes Miodoroki to Chugai Nursery, 1928.

From Marx Gardens catalog, 1955: MIODOROKI (Three Surprises) Each $3.00 A giant double which will produce flowers one foot in diameter under ideal conditions. Color is rich plum purple shading to violet at the center. Elegant ruffled flowers. Midseason. Height 3½ to 4 feet.
