From Farr's catalog, 1922: Very dark purplish indigo; six large petals.
From Carl Salbach catalog 1938: KOMACHI GUMA. Very striking being a big, round and broad dark blue veined red-violet. The coloring greatly resembled the pattern of the bearded iris William Mohr, although it has more the appearance of a bit of priceless china than the latter. $1.00.
