'Epimetheus' ( Sterling Innerst, R. 1991) Seedling 3042-2. JI (6 falls), 40" (102 cm), Midseason late bloom. Wine purple, splashed and speckled white lavender-purple pink. 'Dark Sea' X 'Japanese Sandman'. Iris Pond 1992. Honorable Mention 1996, Award of Merit 2000, Payne Medal 2004.

Deep maroon self with riotous array of white, lavender and purple splashes and speckles. Not for those who are timid, it is an iris of great splendor and elegance. An outstanding grower and marvelously floriferous. $35.00. The Iris Pond.
