'Dark Intrigue' ( Currier McEwen, R. 1982) Sdlg. 74/7D. JI chimera (6 F.), 36" (91 cm), Early midseason to late midseason bloom. Rich wine red (RHS 80A) veined almost black (79B), pale wire edging, yellow signal (7A); very dark (79B); styles. 72/39(4): ('Garden Caprice' x self) X 'Frostbound'. Seaways Gardens 1982. Honorable Mention 1987.
