From R. Wallace Co. catalog, 1922: YELLOW-HAMMER (Denis, 1921). A.M., R.H.S, 1920, when shown by Mr. W. R. Dykes. May flowering. A free flowering seedling of Iris lutescens. Intermediate between dwarf bearded and tall bearded Iris. The beard is golden. The finest clear primrose self and the first of the tall yellows to open. An improvement on Queen Flavia. Height 2ft. C VI. 7/6 each. |
