1975, Mason

'Valerie' (Edwin A. R. Mason, R. 1975). Seedling #68/4/4. IB, 24" (61 cm), Midseason bloom. Purple self, yellow beard. 'Sable' X 'Green Spot'. SC (British Iris Society) 1975.

Note: The 1979 10-year AIS Checklist incorrectly shows the hybridizer's name as 'Manson'. The BIS Iris Year Book for 1975 confirms in the list of 1975 registrations this hybridizer's name is 'Mason'.
