2000, Ensminger

'Samantha Rose' (Allan Ensminger, R. 1999). Seedling #96-1. IB, 24" (61 cm), Late midseason bloom. Standards gentian blue (HCC 42/2); style arms white; falls gentian blue (42/3), white edge and splash by white beard, luminata pattern; slight fragrance. 'Pert' X unknown. Wulf's Backachers 2000.

From AIS Bulletin #317 April 2000 Introducing SAMANTHA ROSE IB. A beautiful gentian blue iris with a luminata color pattern. White style arms and beard, plus a white edge on the falls, make this a real sweetie, just like the granddaughter it is named after. A vigorous grower and prolific bloomer. $25.00.
