'Rosy Romance' (Paul Black, R. 2007). Seedling #K285A. IB, 25" (64 cm), Late midseason bloom. Standards butter ground almost totally washed mauve rose, veined darker mauve-rose; style arms mauve rose; falls butter ground, wide mauve-rose plicata band, dotted mauve rose inside band, darker hafts and center line; beards orange; ruffled; slight spicy fragrance. From Mid-America Garden catalog, 2007: ROSY ROMANCE - IB, 25" (63 cm), Midseason. Everything is looking very rosy for this romantic interlude. Perfectly formed flowers have creamy butter ground with standards completely washed mauve-rose and webbed with fine darker veins around the outer two-thirds. Falls have wide mauve-rose washed plicata bands becoming dots toward the interior. There is also a speckled line down the center of the falls. Bright orange beards over a yellow base make a cheerful complement. All petals are adorned with very controlled ruffles. Sdlg. K285A:(Tweety Bird x Hot Jazz) X Fancy Dress.
