'Marty' (William E. Jones, R. 1977). Seedling #23-29C. IB, 17" (43 cm), Early midseason bloom. Standards lavender, deeper at base; falls lavender, deeper by tangerine beard; ruffled. 'Dove Wings' X 'Pink Taffeta'. C. Palmer, Riverdale Iris 1978. Honorable Mention 1980.

From AIS Bulletin #229, Spring 1978 Introducing MARTY: IB, 17", EM, Sdlg. 73-29C. Lavender to pink-tinted lavender, deeper at base and around the tangerine-pink beard. All segments nicely ruffled. Excellent grower. This cross produced several quality intermediates. Dove Wings X Pink Taffeta. $15.00. Palmer's Iris Garden.
