■(IB) 'Jump Start'

2002, Keppel

'Jump Start' ( Keith Keppel, R. 2002). Seedling #97-47B. IB, 23" (58 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards burgundy (M&P 56-J-1); style arms dark wine (48-J-2) edged golden wheat (11-E-7); falls velvety red black (darker and redder than 48-L-12); beards burnt orange (3-E-12), firecracker (1-H-12) in throat; foliage strongly purple-based. Sibling to 'Ruby Slippers'. Keppel 2002. Honorable Mention 2004, Award of Merit 2007.

Dark wine standards, burgundy black falls, and intense burnt orange beards. Ruffled, somewhat globular form, striking reddish purple leaf bases. #97-47B. $20.00. Keith Keppel.
