From R. Wallace Co. catalog, 1922: GNOME (Bliss, 1920). An early flowering dwarf variety of strong and compact growth. The flowers are self coloured of a distinct type on the lines of Kochii, but larger in every way. The colour is remarkable, being a deep ruby-claret. The flowers frequently come an imperfect shape. 18 in. C V. 2/6 each. |
