'Fire In The Sky' (Paul Black, R. 2006). Seedling #K267A. IB, 26" (66 cm), Midseason bloom. Medium violet-blue self, falls hafts veined darker plum; beards light blue tipped orange; ruffled; slight spicy fragrance. 'Skyblaze' X 'Fires Of Fiji'. Mid-America 2006. Honorable Mention 2008.

From Mid-America Garden catalog, 2006: FIRE IN THE SKY - IB, 26" (66 cm), Midseason. Simple cross, simply pretty. Lightly ruffled medium violet-blue with fiery orange beards. Sounds easy to achieve but hasn't been. Stalks have 2 branches and 5-6 buds. Vigorous growth as an IB should have. Sdlg. K267A: Skyblaze X Fires Of Fij.i $22.50.
