'Drummer Boy' (Schreiners, R. 1963). Seedling #R-1240-A. IB, Height 20" (51 cm), Early bloom. Standards blue, sharp blue spot in center; yellow beard. ( 'Jane Phillips' x I.pumila seedling) X 'Mrs Douglas Pattison'. Schreiners 1963.

AIS Awards: High Commendation 1960; Honorable Mention 1965; Judges’ Choice 1965; Judges’ Choice 1966; Award of Merit 1967; Sass Medal 1970.

From Schreiner’s catalog, 1963: DRUMMER BOY (Schreiner 1963). The picture below, left, illustrates, far better than we can describe, this charming, lovely, blue-etched and marked intermediate. Wonderful stem, branching and floriferous. Blue brother seedling to Cutie. Rl240· A $10.00.
