'Cengialti' (
Francesco Ambrosi, 1854, Tyrol). IB; height 12-18" (30-45 cm), Early bloom. Color Code-B1M; Medium blue self; Strong, pleasant fragrance.
Foster noted cengialtii has yellow-green leaves. While cengialti tends to be a dwarfer relative of pallida, Dykes distinguished this from
pallida by the color of the papery bracts; brown in cengialti, silvery in pallida. Also the seeds of cengialtii are grayish almost spherical while pallida has dark red-brown compressed seeds.
