From Wing Seed catalog, 1919: CELIA — A pretty hybrid between Pallida and Cengialti, with neat globular flowers, self-colored pale bluish-violet. Flower elegant and graceful, of exquisite and delicate texture, all divisions very long, moderately ruffled. 35¢. |
From Bonnewitz catalog, 1923:CELIA (Yeld) $0.50. Mr. Yeld introduced this variety, and consequently it should be among the best, yet my notes tell me that it is not of as great value as Prospero and Asia. If other Iris lovers care to see its bloom I will sell a few roots of it at fifty cents each. |
