'Blue Bird's Song'(Robert Jeffries, R. 1970). Seedling #J657 B1.B. IB, height 17" (43 cm), Early midseason bloom. Standards bluebird blue (Wilson 042/3); falls french blue (43/3); beard french blue (43/2). 'First Violet' X 'Truce'. Kansas Rainbow Garden 1970. Honorable Mention 1973.

From AIS Bulletin #197 April 1970 Introducing BLUE BIRD'S SONG Sdlg. J657 Bl. B., IB, 17", E-M. Standards are blue (042/3 Wilson); falls French-blue (43/3), with a deeper French-blue beard (43/2), which makes it the darkest part of this reverse blue bitone. It has an attractive cheery lilt which sets it apart. Fertile both ways (First Violet X Truce). $15.00. Kansas Rainbow Gardens.
