(IB) 'Black Watch' by Nicholls
1932, Nicholls 'Black Watch' (Col. Jesse Crook Nicholls, 1932) IB. Early bloom. Color Class B7D. 'Louis Bel' X 'Fire God'. Royal Iris Gardens 1932. Note: This iris was believe to be obsolete by 1970 and the name was released for future registration. It was later found growing in several locations. Not to be confused with IB 'Black Watch' R. 1972 by Rosenfels. See below:
