'Az Ap' ( Allan Ensminger, R 1979) IB, 22" (56 cm), Early to late bloom. Cobalt blue (HCC 44/3) self; gentian blue (42/1) beard. 'Charmed Circle' X seedling #73-1: (( 'Spring Salute' x (( 'Patience' x Welch seedling #N503) x ( 'Jungle Shadows' x pumila ))) x ((( 'Jungle Shadows' x 'I pumila') x ( 'Jungle Shadows' x 'Cretica')) x (( 'Jungle Shadows' x 'Cretica') x Kavan seedling #11-66))).   • An exceptional IB that starts early and stays late, with multitudes of blooms in a lovely soft blue palette. Hardy, vigorous and a reliable bloomer. -- MikeUnser - 25 Nov 2009
  • Ib Az Ap was in bloom at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, zone 4b, approximately May 15 - 28, 2017. The blooms really held up well to rain. -- HollyJohnson2017 -04-01 - 01 Aug 2017
