IRIS PERSEPHONE.

This is a large and handsome hybrid Iris, belonging to the Regelio-Cyclus group. It is beautifully veined with purple-black upon a white ground. It is a large and extremely I showy Iris. It was exhibited by M. C. G. Van Tubergen, jun., Haarlem, Holland, and received an award of merit from the floral committee of the Royal Horticultural Society on the 23rd ult.
