From Contemporary Gardens catalog, 1980: SOFT SPOKEN - BB, 20" (51 cm), Midseason. Soft lilac self fading to white in the heart of the flower around the light coral beards. This has every characteristic a good Border Bearded should have: Consistently short in the 4 years it has been tested (including being grown in fumigated soil) with thin show stalks (2 branches,6 buds). Falls horizontal and lightly ruffled. Small flowers. Excellent increaser. Sdlg. 0-5: (San Leandro X Fond Wish). EC 1979. $20.00 |
