'Samtpfoetchen' ( Lothar Denkewitz, R. 1990). Seedling #M-83-schw-1. BB, 16" (42 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards deep red violet; falls velvety blackish red violet; beards bright blue violet; slight spicy fragrance. ( 'Wee Lad' x ( 'Adrienne Taylor' x 'Snow Elf')) X 'Gingerbread Man'. Schoeppinger 1989.

From Adamgrove catalog, 1997: SAMTPFÖTCHEN (Denkewitz, 90) Naturally, Adamgrove would have to carry this one. The name is German for "kitten paws" (or, more literally, "velvet paws"). Deep red violet with velvety dark violet falls. Do those bright tblue-violet beards represent claws? $4.00
