From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1965: VANDAL (Fred Crandall 1965) E.M. 34 in. Asoka of Nepal x (Hoogiana x Shining Waters). Another Onco-bred of great beauty with large Onco-type flowers. The broad domed standards are of vivid sky blue and it has huge, ultra wide falls of the same vivid blue with dark overtones of shimmering greenish-brown which deepens to a greenish-blue, arrow-shaped signal which outlines the very wide, chrome-yellow beard. The long lasting flowers are well displayed on strong, nicely branched stalks and it is a good husky grower. No. 59-03. $15.00. |
