'Temple Veil' OGB ('William Hawkinson, R. 1972). Seedling ABH 67-3. AB (1/2), 30" (76 cm), Early bloom. Standards gray brass, overlaid smoky violet, slightly deeper veining; Falls gray brass, overlaid slightly darker smoky violet, slightly deeper veining; brassy bronze beard. 'Kalifa Kabul' X 'Grand Vizier'. Sierra Vista Iris Gardens, 1972. Honorable Mention 1975.

From AIS Bulletin #205 April 1972 Introducing TEMPLE VEIL (Hawkinson). 30". Gray-brass, overlaid in smoky violet--stds domed; falls leathery and recurved. Beards are very wide brassy bronze. $10.00 each. Sierra Vista Iris Garden.
