'Syrian Surprise' OB+ (Leo Clark by Ray Leech, R. 1975). Seedling C-69-A-1. AB, 18" (46 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards cream white ground with lavender veining; Falls cream white, heavily veined and dotted lavender; small red wine signal; green yellow beard. Austin seedling Mx-7-0: (I. susiana x I. gatesii) X 'Blue Gate'. Aril Society, 1975.
