'Smoke With Wine' OGB-/ABD (Carl Boswell, R. 1978). Seedling 28-71-1. AB, 12" (30 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards smoky yellow, blending to wine red at base; Falls wine red at hafts and around beard, blending to smoky yellow, yellow edge; wine beard. 'Cherry Garden' X ('Beisan Aga' x oncogelia seedling). Boswell, 1981. Honorable Mention 1983; Mohr Award 1986; Mohr Medal 1995.

From AIS Bulletin #241 April 1981 Introducing SMOKE WITH WINE (Carl Boswell '81). AB-MED (114), 12", Seedling 28-71-1 (Cherry Garden X (Beisan Aga x oncogelia seedling)). S. smoky yellow, blending to wine at base. F. wine-red at hafts and around beards, blending to smoky yellow, yellow band on edges; wine beard. Well accepted as a seedling. Stands out in the garden. EC '79. $12.50. Boswell Iris Garden.
