'Smithsonian' ( Gordon Plough, R. 1955). Seedling 50-38-1. TB (hybrid), 32" (81 cm). Midseaon late bloom. Color Class-W4, Blue-white changing to white, with deep olive hafts; deep tangerine beard, effect, red, white and blue. 'Elmohr' x Muhlestein seedling 47-31: ( 'Golden Eagle' x Loomis SQ 72), sibling to 'Pink Formal'. Eden Road 1956.
