'Omar's Gold' OGB-/ABM (Carl Boswell, R. 1995). Seedling 95-90-AM. AB, 18" (46 cm). Midseason bloom. Standards yellow; falls golden yellow; black line signal; gold beards. Seedling 110-75-AS: ('Puppet Baby' x 'Moonspot') X 'Onlooker'. Adamgrove, 1996. Honorable Mention 1998; Award of Merit 2000; Mohr Medal 2002.

From Adamgrove catalog, 1997: OMAR'S GOLD (Boswell, 96) OGB-intermediate. Lavender orchid standards, gently darkened at their bases, float atop golden falls. A soft dark maroon signal gradually spreads over the gold to become nothing more than a hint of auburn before it reaches the edges. The sturdy blossoms, quite resilient even to heavy rains, are borne on stalks 18 high. (Puppet Baby x Moon Spot)XOnlooker. $15.00
